My best friend Brittney & I at the second ever Kindling Session.

There are moms tucking in babies trying to smile through anxiety and really believe it will all be ok. There are moms awake at night eyes fixed on the door waiting for their precious child to come home, once again, past curfew. There are perfectly made up mommas hoping the put together clothes might conceal their anything but put together hearts. There are women waking at 4am to jog, feet pounding the ground, not because she loves exercise but because she hates her body. She thinks she wouldn’t if she lost just one more pound. There are moms begging the Lord for food for their child. There are moms praying their husbands find work. There are women everywhere behind every face with pain that runs too deep to speak. Don’t ever forget any of this…

This is a world marred by sin, but there are women who have been marked by God.

Mighty women, wise women, brave women who are not afraid of the dark. There is the rising of a band of women to proclaim Jesus. Shall we stand among them?  The one whose blown it all again, failed to finish, forgotten faith… Shall we be women who repent & do not glory in sin, women who boast in weakness, yet are not weak-willed? Power is perfected in weakness, the weak made strong, the kingdom is upside down inside out. The adornment is inward. The foremost beauty hidden. The abundance of good deeds shines bright, but there is no boast in her. We can be pressed down, downtrodden, yet not defeated and certainly not forsaken. In all the hard, we can remain soft, pliable, teachable, humble, useful to our Father’s Kingdom.

Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable,he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.

2 Timothy 2:20-21

There are women who shake off sin for a Savior who sought them out. Let’s stand among them.
